Cruising from a Kid’s Point of View

By teahf

Hi, I’m Teah.

I am nine years old.

September 28th, 2006, was the end of my 32nd cruise. It was great.
I went on an 11 night Disney cruise. We were on the Disney Wonder.
It was my second Disney cruise and I have to say Disney is tops for us
kids. If I didn’t have so much homework to do, I would have never
been in the stateroom. I would have played in the Lab all the time.
There was so much to do. I even got to go Parasailing.

Next month, November 5th, I am going to take a cruise on Holland America
from Lisbon to Rio de Janiero and the day after I get home I leave for my 34th
cruise which will be on the Sapphire Princess. I am flying all the way to Beijing. I am really excited about going to Asia.  I don’t like the long flights though and we have some really long ones.

The cruise goes to Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia, China, Thailand, Korea and Singapore.  After the cruise we are going to Jakarta for a couple of days.

Holland America has always been my favorite cruise line. Adults think that’s
strange because their aren’t a lot of kids on Holland America. The cruise staff
on Holland America always makes the cruise great for me.

I will let you know all the fun I have on my next two cruises..

    Hello Teah.

I took my 10 year old on the Disney Wonder and have to agree that it was
a fantastic ship. I am curious about the ports of call on the 11 day cruise
and which one you liked the best.

We just booked a cruise with cruisedepot.com and are on the Carnival Glory and are looking foward to it.

Daun was extremely helpful and she helped us decide on the right ship for our vacation. – Harvey Kaplam

    Dear Harvey,

Do you have a daughter or a son? Did they stay in the Lab all the time? I wish I could have played there more than I did. I had a lot of school work to do everyday.

I always like St. Thomas because I love to shop. But on this trip, I really liked Castaway Cay. I got to parasailing for the first time. I also liked the fact that the Ship docked instead of tendering. There is so much to do on Castaway Cay. We went to Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Thomas and St. Kitts.

I have a lot of fun on Carnival too. My very first cruise was on the Triumph. They have a good kid’s program. The only thing that I don’t like is the salt water pools.
A lot of the Cruise Lines have salt water but it really hurts my eyes. I like the fresh water pools. Princess and Holland America have fresh water. I have not been on the Glory yet. I hope you have a good cruise too.

    Thank you for your letter.

    Teah
